What that does not mean: facts about a place we haven't been, gear we haven't used, or safety information we haven't verified. On the trail guides in particular — water availability, campsite capacity, ferry timing — wrong information can put someone in real trouble. Those are checked against the operator directly, every season, and the date of the last check is printed on the guide.
